Independence & sponsorship policy

Independence is the product. This policy explains how MoveVerity makes money, how it discloses paid relationships, and the line those relationships can never cross.

Current status (this build)

MoveVerity is an independent advisory tool. In the current build there are no paid mover placements, no lead sales, and no affiliate or referral compensation of any kind. Marketplace and vendor listings are illustrative demo data, not sponsored placements. If and when paid relationships are introduced, they will be disclosed under the rules below before they go live.

What “independent” means here

We are not a moving company, a household-goods broker, a carrier, or an insurer, and we do not accept placement fees to rank a mover higher. Our guidance is generated from the information you enter and deterministic, published rules — see the MoveScore methodology. We are not a generic lead-generation site that quietly sells your details to the highest bidder.

How we would make money

The intended model is transparent, user-aligned revenue: optional paid tools (for example a one-time move report, a premium workspace, or an expert estimate review), commercial-project subscriptions, and — only where clearly disclosed — affiliate or partner relationships. Pricing is documented for approval and is not yet live; see the pricing page, which is labeled as demonstration pricing.

Disclosure commitments

  • Sponsorships, affiliate links, referral arrangements, and any lead compensation are disclosed at the point they appear.
  • Paid status is labeled as paid — never dressed up as an editorial recommendation.
  • We separate objective guidance (safety, suitability, price, licensing, risk) from any commercial or sponsored signal.

The line paid relationships cannot cross

A paid relationship never suppresses a risk warning, guarantees a ranking, or overrides objective analysis of safety, suitability, price, licensing, or delivery risk. If a paying partner scores poorly on the objective factors, the score and warnings stand as-is.

Verification and “vetted” claims

We do not describe a company as “vetted,” “verified,” “licensed,” or “insured” without defining exactly what was checked and when. Before any production marketplace launches, each listing follows our vendor verification methodology.

Reporting a concern

If you believe a recommendation, ranking, or disclosure is misleading, tell us through the contact page. Corrections and disclosure gaps are treated as consumer-protection issues, not marketing feedback.
